Last year, Make Up For Ever launched their Matte Velvet Skin Foundation. A product that checked off practically every one of my requirements for a foundation. Fast forward to the present day, where they’ve launched a powder form of the foundation, the Make Up For Ever Matte Velvet Skin Blurring Powder Foundation! Available in 30 shades, the MUFE Powder Foundation is said to provide full coverage with a life-like matte finish. Let me start off by saying that powder foundations are my least favourite type of product and here’s why. I have dry skin, blemishes and hyper-pigmentation. Make Up For Ever Ultra HD Invisible Cover Stick Foundation & Step 1 Skin Equalizer Primers

Over the last two months I’ve been struggling with pretty problematic skin. My daily makeup dilemma is, ‘what to use’ and ‘how to make it last the whole day’. My issue isn’t with my foundation coverage but more so how long that coverage lasts, before it’s unveiling my active acne, scars and hyper-pigmentation. I have pretty long days at the hospital, upwards of 26 hours at one go, every few weeks. Today, I bring to you a product I have been testing for the last few weeks. In these few weeks my skin couldn’t possibly get any more difficult to deal with. Hormonal breakouts that caused significant scarring and skin that was so dry that anything and everything would cling to it. Eager for coverage but not thrilled to hear the word ‘matte’. I tried out the Make Up For Ever Matte Velvet Skin Foundation. Intended for combination to oily skin, the Matte Velvet Skin is available in 40 shades. MUFE’s Velvet Skin is free of any fragrance and oils. MAKE UP FOR EVER, is a brand I can’t get enough of. Maybe because I associate every product of theirs with full coverage and maximum wear time. Examples: their Ultra HD products that only look better and better as the day passes. One of their recent releases was the Make Up For Ever Artist Liquid Matte Lipstick, which I literally wore the moment it arrived. Artist Liquid Matte Lipstick (CAN $25.00/each) is available in 6 nude-y shades. The formula and applicator are what set these Liquid Lipsticks apart. A doe-foot applicator ensures a consistent (even) application allowing you to create sharp, clean edges. The texture is creamy and the coverage is insane. One application will give you an opaque coverage. It takes a few minutes for the product to dry down before it becomes almost fully smudge-proof. The Artist Rouge Collection consists of 45 lipsticks: 31 cream finishes and 14 mattes.Make Up For Ever Artist Rouge Lipstick come packaged in sleek black lipstick tubes. A silver ring, similar to the packaging of their Ultra HD products, encircles the cap. The lipsticks all have sharper than average tips, that really help get a precise application. The Artist Rouge lipsticks are long-wearing and uberly pigmented. All without compromising hydration. It has a creamy formula that gives full coverage in one application. Water Blend Foundation

Last year, Make Up For Ever transformed their HD foundation into Ultra HD. Now their Face & Body foundation has been revamped into the Make Up For Ever Water Blend Foundation. This Summer has been filled with brands releasing their own variation of water based foundations. Which I personally LOVE, because it solves my dry skin problems. MUFE’s Ultra HD Foundation is my favourite full coverage foundation but having dry skin, I need to use a primer oil before applying the foundation. That’s a step I’d rather skip during the hotter months. The Water Blend Foundation is 80% pro-vitamin B5 infused water. Also containing Glycerine and mango butter to lock in moisture. Currently it is available in 20 shades and I tried Y315 & Y405. The foundation has a runny consistency that dries down to a satin finish. When it comes to eye liner, 8 times out of 10 I’ll reach for liquid eye liners. I love bronzed skin all year long. It is a staple product for me as foundation helps create a flawless base but takes away dimension and colour from the face, which is what bronzers add back in. But it’s not always easy to find the right shade, since many turn out looky muddy, orange and just not pleasant on my skin. Make Up For Ever Pro Sculpting Lip

Make Up For Ever’s Pro Sculpting line has helped me heighten my contouring skills and taught me how to give my brows a a lifted look. Now with Make Up For Ever Pro Sculpting Lip, I’m learning to sculpt my lips.The Pro Sculpting range uses lights and shadows to contour and sculpt your face, lips and brows. The 2-in-1 Lip Sculpting Pen is available in 4 shades, I tried out the shade 40 Carmine Red, which is an orange based red. The lip product is dual ended, with a retractable lipstick on one end and a highlight sponge applicator on the opposite end. The lipstick is an opaque shade with a semi-matte finish. The lipstick has a very smooth application but call me difficult but I have a hard time applying lipstick with a rounded tip.
