Brace yourself, you’re going to read the word love a thousand times in this one post. For some time now I have been religiously using the Kerastase Elixir Ultime Imperial Tea, which I recently got to try out and have been OBSESSED. I have mentioned and raved about it to everyone I know and if I haven’t then I’ve been asked what the fragrance was.
Some times things just look better matte! I’ve always been obsessed with matte makeup products, whether eye shadows or lip products. Seeing how many countless releases there have been in the last year of liquid lipsticks, matte lip creams and lipsticks. I was excited to try something a little more simple. It is Smashbox’s Lipstick & Insta-Matte Transformer.
With Valentine’s Day right around the corner, everyone is in a frenzy trying to find the perfect gift for their loved ones. I love the convenience of online shopping but the only thing that deters me is expensive shipping and customs charges. Which is hard to avoid since some brands/certain products are just not readily available in Canada. This is why I was ecstatic at the chance to discover Scarlet and Julia, a Canadian Online Shopping site. They are stocked with all of the best brands!
Finally giving my hair what it deserves. I tried out a few products by Inecto Naturals. Inecto products consist of 90% natural ingredients and are 100% vegetarian, as well as organic. The products either use organic argan or coconut oil, which are two oils I have always used growing up, so I know their great benefits.
Don’t I wish that I fell asleep the moment I hit my bed. Like many people, I struggle to get a good night’s sleep, which takes a toll on everything else. My skin being the first. When I received Vichy’s Idelia Skin Sleep Recovery Night Gel-Balm, which claimed to make you appear more rested in only ONE sleep. I could not wait, to smother it on to my face. I have always trusted and loved Vichy products, whether skincare or makeup, so I naturally had high expectations for this new night gel.
Make Up Forever recently came out with Ultra HD Invisible Foundation’s soul mate, the Ultra HD Concealer. These became available at Sephora as of January 2016. Since I have been a major Make Up Forever lover since forever, I was ecstatic to try this out! I have stuck to my Pro longwear concealer for as long as I can remember but after accidentally breaking a handful of them, I have stopped using them daily.
It’s been quite a while since I posted about foundations. The last one was my 5 go-to foundations post, which was well over two months ago, but this Make Up Forever Ultra HD Foundation came at a really great time! I have always loved the original MUFE HD foundation, so I was excited to try out another Ultra HD product (I have already tried the stick foundation, available in 15 shades). I received the shade 125, which is also called Sand.
This is my first time ever trying a foundation that is cream based and comes in this dual 40:60 ratio form. It is the Eve Pearl HD 40:60 Dual Foundation At first I thought it was a highlight and contour compact, with a dark and light shade. In actuality, they are two complimenting foundation shades. Their foundations are available in 6 shades and the shade I tried out is in Tan.
Blushes are one of the makeup products I don’t usually experiment with. I have my few go to blushes that I either use subtly or build up, based on the occasion. I buy the same ones over and over again. So when I received Eve Pearl’s Blush Trio I was eager to see what it would look like with my skin tone.
Can’t fix it? Conceal it. Concealers have always been such life savers for masking zits, dark circles and any other unwanted marks/scars. But there are ways to get even more coverage out of your favourite concealer. Such as correcting underlying colors before applying another shade over top of it. One such product I tried out is, Eve Pearl’s Dual Salmon Treatment Concealer.

This was my first time using any products by Eve Pearl and I wanted to share a review on a few of their products that worked really, really well for me. I got the opportunity to try out a few of their products but as always, all opinions are my own. One such product that I tried out is Eve Pearl’s Priming Moisturizer Treatment. Also, when I mention my skin tone or my skin type
I recently posted on Instagram @AIISHWARYA.S a selection of Eve Pearl make up brushes and make up products, I have been trying out. Since it was my first time using any of their products, I really had no idea about the quality of their products but had a very pleasant first experience! I tried out their Dual Contour Blender Brush and their Fan Brush.
I adore gift sets, I think they just have a ton of benefits to them. One being that you get to try out more products and find one out of the bunch that you really like. One such gift set is this adorable gift set by World HairandSkin. World HairandSkin is a Canadian brand developed around ‘Clean beauty’. Free of harmful chemicals and fragrance, making it gentle enough for everyone to use. They promote a simpler way of living and you’ll see exactly how.
Get ready to see the word Love, a million times in this single post, as Silver, Gold and Rose Gold accented things really excite me. Hence, why I was ecstatic when the Bold Metals Brushes by Real Techniques became available. I have always loved the original brushes by Real Techniques for their amazing quality and price point. They are lightweight, dense yet soft and last for a ridiculously long time. To see that they came out with a luxe line of brushes, was exhilarating.
Taking care of your feet is so important. Dry, cracked, callused feet are such a nuisance. If you’re always on the go and can’t take out time for a pedicure then you might just love this post. My favourite nail salons in my area always have a long wait time and on top of that I am that impatient individual that can’t sit under a nail dryer for 20 minutes. On top of that
I wanted to share a review on a handful of gorgeous Lacc Beauty Nail Polishes that I recently tried out. Lacc (La Couleur Couture) is a vegan brand of nail polishes based in Vancouver, Canada. Let me tell you, every single shade I tried, is absolutely gorgeous and suits my taste and I very well!
I love the look of big, full lips and I naturally have full lips but they aren’t as wide, so they don’t appear as big. I’ve never really been drawn to lip plumpers/enhancers or overdrawing my lips. But who wouldn’t want a slightly bigger pout, that too instantly? It was my first time using a lip plumper and I was excited to try out Lip Fusion XXL.
Makeup Brush lovers, hoarders rejoice. I absolutely LOVE makeup brushes. They are one of my favourite products to try out because every brand has their own line of unique brushes and I always end up finding a handful of gems. One of those gems are EcoTools Retractable Kabuki Brush. Which is one of the most versatile, travel-friendly brushes I own.
Having an olive/tan skin tone naturally, there’s a lot of trial and error that goes into choosing the right shade of bronzer for myself. My go to products for bronzing my skin are actually just foundations, such as my MAC powder plus foundation (in a shade 5 shades darker than my skin) and a Sephora pressed foundation in one of their darker shades. I find that those two are perfect and far from orange, as well as shimmer free. I recently received the Dr. Hauschka Bronzing Powder and I was surprised as it’s not as dark as other bronzers, quite neutral actually. I also tried out Dr. Hauschka’s Bronzing Tint, which was a first for me.
